Kathryn Liston checks in at Gatwick airport and checks out whether airport parking company, I Love Meet and Greet, lives up to its name
The confirmation was emailed to me promptly along with instructions on where to meet the driver at Gatwick North terminal. They advised me to print them out as I might be required to show them to the driver on collection. I also had to print a permit, which confirmed the company had a licence to operate on the forecourts, and place it on the dashboard when we arrived at the airport.
Arrival at the airport
My partner phoned 10 minutes before we were due to arrive at the terminal. The call was answered promptly and we were told where to meet the driver. As I pulled up to the kerbside, a driver in company uniform appeared and offered to help us with our luggage – I can assure you that not all companies do this. He checked the paperwork and gave me instructions of what to do on our return. He was charming, extremely friendly and efficient, exchanging holiday stories and wishing us a good journey. The entire process took no more than five minutes.
Once we had cleared customs and collected our baggage, we rang the company and was told that a driver would be with us in 10 minutes at the spot where he had collected the car. When we got there, he was waiting already. He checked out paperwork, gave us the keys and we were on our way within minutes in a lovely warm car.
A speedy and efficient service. After a four hour flight, and with freezing temperatures late at night, I Love Meet and Greet really came into their own. This company always delivers what it promises and really does live up to its name.
